Overview

Bonus Tools Help opens the Bonus Tools documentation website at https://bonustools.kiwicodes.com/public/tutorials in your default browser with a single click. From there you can browse every tool's tutorial page, find step-by-step usage guides, and check requirements and troubleshooting notes — all without leaving Revit. This is the fastest way to look up how any Bonus Tools command works.

Clicking the button immediately opens https://bonustools.kiwicodes.com/public/tutorials in your default browser. No dialog appears and Revit continues running normally.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use 115 Search Tools inside Revit to jump directly to a specific tool's help page by keyword — often faster than browsing the full tutorials index.
  • Bookmark frequently visited pages. Once you find the tutorial for a tool you use regularly, bookmark it so you bypass the index entirely on future visits.
  • Check the documentation before contacting support. Most common questions about tool behaviour, setup requirements, and error messages are answered in the tutorials.
  • Use 054 Help File for internal company docs. Tool 055 is exclusively for Bonus Tools documentation; configure 054 to point to your office BIM standards or project-specific guides.

Common Use Cases

Learning a new tool — When a colleague encounters an unfamiliar Bonus Tools command, clicking Help opens the full tutorials index, making it easy to find and share the relevant documentation.

Troubleshooting unexpected behaviour — If a tool produces an unexpected result, open the help site and navigate to that tool's tutorial to check requirements, validation rules, and the troubleshooting section.

Sharing documentation — Open the tutorials site, navigate to the relevant tool page, and copy the URL to share with a team member who has a question about a specific command.

Staying current — Check the tutorials site after Bonus Tools updates to discover new tools and read updated documentation for existing ones.
